Rubrik hosted its Forward Digital Summit today. Due to Covid-19, this year the company went completely online, and instead of a 3-day in-person conference, it hosted a 1-day event for FREE. If you missed any of the live sessions, you can still register and watch the recorded sessions at a later date.
Straight from Rubrik on why you should attend:
So why am I blogging about their online conference?
Over the course of many years, I've dealt with many backup products and some have been a nightmare to manage while others were just OK. With Rubrik, the installation was a breeze, the setup was painless, and the day-to-day management is almost non-existent because I only log in when there's a problem. I get daily morning reports on what succeeded and what failed and I have a 100% backup success rate. So ... I only really log in when I have to do restores.
Gone are the days when I had to deal with multiple versions of Java on my system to be able to just log in and do restores. There's a single pane of glass to configure my backups, do restores, archive to the cloud, set up replication, and manage reports.
Why I love Rubrik: I don't need to constantly login, manage the backups, troubleshoot - essentially babysit the solution as I did with our previous backup solutions. My backups kick off every night, if any backup fails, it automatically retries 3 times, and I've set up a report to be emailed every morning to let me know what was successful and what failed. And as I said earlier, I have a 100% success rate for all my backups: Microsoft SQL, physical servers, and VMware VMs.
Every quarter our assigned sales and technical engineer meet with us to discuss the overall health of the backup solution, strategies to make backups better, let us know if any new features coming up, and share a few jokes. Hey, it can't all be business.
With the online summit, not only are they making backups better, but there are sessions that discuss how to use Rubrik PowerShell to orchestrate and automate backups and restores, the fact that their system is immutable to combat against ransomware and what that means for your company, simplifying cloud migration, and much more.
If you're in the market to replace your backup solution, check out their recorded videos and see what they can offer your company. Not only will you gain back hours by using their solutions, but you'll also actually love doing backups again.
